Damage Survey

Service Description

A damage survey is a topical survey directed towards particular acute damage. The purpose of such a survey is to document, describe, contextualize and otherwise understand particular acute damage to your vessel. As part of the report issuance, an itemized repair estimate will be created.  ​ A damage survey is particularly useful when dealing with insurers, as Capital Marine Surveying, LLC acts as an independent agent contracted to work on your behalf  towards the end of financially compensating you for the damage incurred—so that you may either get your existing vessel repaired, or otherwise be "made whole."  Our damage surveys are billed on a per-project basis, at an agreed-upon rate. Pricing starts at $500 for basic acute damage but may exceed $1,000 depending on scale, scope, and severity.
