Service Description

With an extensive background in mechanics—acting as a mobile marine technician and general shipwright for five years before becoming a surveyor—owner and chief surveyor, Drew Maglio, is able to offer many additional services that other surveyors cannot, including various mechanical diagnostic services, such as: engine scans and code readings (if applicable/compatible), compression tests, oil/fluid analysis (done off-site at a lab), and more. The engine compression test helps measures cylinder head combustion chamber sealing, performance, and overall health—indicated by a reading on a specialized pressure gauge, measured in pounds per square inch, or PSI. Our compression tests start at $300 for gasoline engines and $400 for a single diesel engine (since substantial disassembly is required). Each additional engine can be tested at $200/per engine for gasoline, or $300 for each diesel engine.
